I’m Tom. Thanks for visiting our site. I hope you’re enjoying what you’re seeing and reading. I started TomCat BBQ back in 2017 when I picked up the art of barbecue as a hobby. Since then, through MUCH trial & error, my cooking has gotten better – sometimes it even passes for good.
What I love most about barbecue is that it brings people together
I’m fascinated by the history and lore of barbecue, as well as the diverse traditions and regional flavors that make it what it is today. But, what I love most about barbecue is that it brings people together. And while that’s probably the cheesiest sentence I’ve ever written, it’s true. There’s something about food that is crafted with care and shared among friends & family, that is so core to who we are as social beings.
At TomCat BBQ, I hope we can help you have those types of meaningful gatherings with the ones closest to you, through recipes, fine BBQ products, and maybe a bit of inspiration.
